La cultura de Cholula es sin duda una de las culturas prehispánicas más importantes e influyentes en Mesoamérica y pudo interactuar con las grandes culturas prehispánicas como la maya teotihuacana, azteca, etc. Esto se debe a que su presencia en Mesoamérica fue constante desde sus inicios en el año 200 antes de Cristo y se mantuvo hasta la llegada de los conquistadores españoles en el siglo XVI.
